BRADLEY WEST PROJECT GROUND-BREAKING CONTINUES MODERNIZATION EFFORT AT LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The $1.545-billion total cost Bradley West Project will create a new world-class terminal that will offer travelers the very best in airport amenities.

FULL INSTALLATION OF RUNWAY SAFETY WARNING SYSTEM SLATED FOR LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
(Los Angeles, California – February 16, 2010)  Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) today entered into a Memorandum of Agreement for a program installation of a Runway Safety Status Lights (RWSL) system at Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX).  This agreement augments a prototype system that was installed June 2009.

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CONTINUES LOW CRIME LEVELS
(Los Angeles, California – February 10, 2010)  Major crime continues to be almost non-existent at Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX), according to 2009 statistics released today by Los Angeles Airport Police.  In the category of Part-I Crime, which includes all major categories of crime against persons, there was only one robbery reported in 2009 compared to two in 2008.

(Los Angeles, California -- January 13, 2010)  The California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) has notified Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) that itwill close up to two lanes of northbound Sepulveda Boulevard between Century Boulevard and 98th Street near LAX, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., until January 22, for sidewalk repair work.

FLU SHOTS NOW OFFERED IN LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TERMINALS

(Los Angeles, California – January 11, 2010)  Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in partnership with FLU*Ease, Inc., is now offering flu shots to travelers in most of the airline terminals as a public safety measure against the flu, especially the H1N1 strain.

FLU*Ease stations, complete with privacy screens, are set up beyond passenger security screening in Terminals 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT).
