FLYAWAY BUS NETWORK ADDS WESTWOOD AS NEW LOCATION TO SERVE TRAVELERS NON-STOP TO LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
(Los Angeles, California – June 14, 2007) Non-stop LAX FlyAway bus service between Westwood and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) began today, offering West Los Angeles travelers a convenient, comfortable and reasonably-priced alternative to driving to the airport. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa and officials from the airport and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) greeted the first passengers to use the new service following opening ceremonies today.

A press conference on Thursday, June 7th at the Los Angeles City Council Chambers was held to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest and defibrillation.

LA/PALMDALE REGIONAL AIRPORT OPENS TO UNITED AIRLINES SERVICE TO SAN FRANCISCO AND POINTS BEYOND

RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING CONTRACT AWARDED FOR WORK NEAR LAX
(Los Angeles, California – June 4, 2007) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a contract to AMD construction Group of the City of Orange for a portion of the Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) Residential Soundproofing Program. The $2, 545,400 contract covers sound insulation modifications on a total of 174 dwelling units at 8655 Belford Avenue, a condominium complex known as Madrid Apartments in Westchester.

LAWA APPOINTS ROBERT GLUCK AIRPORT MANAGER AT LA/PALMDALE REGIONAL AIRPORT
(Palmdale, CA -- May 22, 2007) Robert Gluck has been appointed Airport Manager at LA/Palmdale Regional Airport (PMD) where he will manage day-to-day operation of the facility and oversee its growth and development. Prior to his new appointment, Gluck held the position of airport maintenance superintendent at LA/Ontario International Airport since 1997.
