LOS ANGELES AIRPORT TO EXPAND FLYAWAY BUS SYSTEM TO WESTWOOD TO INCREASE TRAVELER CONVENIENCE, EASE TRAFFIC CONGESTION
(Los Angeles, California – May 21, 2007) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today approved a one-year license agreement with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to establish nonstop bus service from Westwood to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The action permits Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to expand its LAX FlyAway airport bus service on Thursday, June 14 to a third service location.

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PRACTICES EMERGENCY RESPONSE IN FULL-SCALE SIMULATED AIRCRAFT DISASTER

(Los Angeles, California - May 15, 2007) Over 700 people will participate in a full-scale, simulated aircraft disaster today that will test the capability of Los Angeles International Airport's (LAX) emergency management system. The LAX Air Exercise (AirEx) will be staged today from noon to 3 p.m. on the restricted airfield adjacent to the LAX Imperial Terminal/Flight Path Learning Center, 6661 West Imperial Highway. The LAX Air Exercise will test emergency responders and mutual aid providers in a real-time, stress-filled environment in which personnel, equipment and other resources are mobilized and deployed.

(Palmdale, Calif. - April 27, 2007) -- The City of Palmdale and Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) will host a community open house at LA/Palmdale Regional Airport (PMD) from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, to showcase the newly remodeled passenger terminal and a United Express regional jet.  The outreach event is intended to familiarize residents with the airport and introduce residents to United’s new service to San Francisco that begins June 7.

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL ALTERNATIVE FUEL VEHICLES
