MANDATORY PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING SCHEDULED FOR POTENTIAL BIDDERS ON LAWA SECURITY TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION PROJECT
(Los Angeles, California – October 30, 2007) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has scheduled a mandatory pre-submittal meeting to inform experienced technology firms about its Security Technology Integration (STI) project.  Interested firms experienced in design, development and integration of airport information technology security systems, are invited to respond to the STI Request for Qualifications (RFQ).  Information about the RFQ is posted at www.labavn.org . .

TRAFFIC ADVISORY -- UPDATED 5:30 A.M. PACIFIC TIME -- TRAFFIC DETOURS NEAR LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT STILL IN EFFECT

(Los Angeles, California – October 17, 2007) Traffic detours are still in effect at northbound Sepulveda Blvd. at Imperial Highway near the entrance to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The detour is due to a water main break that occurred on Tuesday morning at the intersection of Century and Sepulveda Boulevards. According to Los Angeles Department of Water and Power officials, repairs to the break and street restoration are still expected to be completed about noon today.

    (Los Angeles, California – October 17, 2007)  Traffic on northbound Sepulveda Blvd. at Century Blvd. near the entrance to Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX) resumed shortly after 2:30 p.m. today, following repairs to a water main break that occurred on Tuesday morning.  Traffic is reported flowing smoothly.

RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING CONTRACT AWARDED FOR WORK NEAR LAX
(Los Angeles, California – October 15, 2007) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a contract to Professional Building Contractors, Inc. of El Segundo for a portion of the Los Angeles International Airport´s (LAX) Residential Soundproofing Program. The $843,370 contract covers sound insulation modifications on 34 dwelling units comprised of 25 condominiums, five single-family residences and two two-unit duplexes, all located within Los Angeles City Council District 11.

LAWA AWARDS $16.5 MILLION, FIVE-YEAR CONTRACT FOR FLYAWAY SERVICE TO UNION STATION FEATURING CLEAN, ALTERNATIVE FUEL BUS FLEET
(Los Angeles, California – October 1, 2007) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today approved a $16.5 million, five-year contract with CUSA CC, LLC (dba Coach America Los Angeles) to operate non-stop bus service from Union Station to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The contract will replace the LAX FlyAway service pilot program, which used diesel fuel buses, with a new fleet of smaller buses fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG).
