CONTRACT AWARDED FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING NEAR LAX
(Los Angeles, California – December 4, 2006) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a contract to DAB Construction, Inc., Tarzana, Calif., for a portion of the LAX Residential Soundproofing Program. The contract totaling $795,300 covers sound-insulation modifications on 36 dwelling units comprised of 20 condominium units, one 10-unit apartment, one duplex, and four single-family dwellings located in Los Angeles City Council District 11.

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO PURCHASE 30 ALTERNATIVE-FUEL BUSES AND TRUCKS
(Los Angeles, California – December 4, 2006) The Board of Airport Commissioners today approved the purchase of 30 alternative-fuel buses and trucks for use at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as part of its ongoing commitment to replace existing gasoline-powered vehicles in the airport’s fleet with alternative-fuel vehicles when they reach the end of their useful service life.

STREET AND FREEWAY CLOSURES ANNOUNCED FOR FILM PRODUCTION NEAR LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The two contracts totaling $1,828,200 cover sound insulation modifications on six single-family dwellings, 76 condominium units and one 4-unit apartment located in Los Angeles City Council District 11.
