AIR CANADA LAUNCHES DAILY ONT-TORONTO FLIGHTS BEGINNING JUNE 5
(Ontario, California – February 11, 2000) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) officials today announced Air Canada will begin daily roundtrip flights between Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Toronto, Canada, on June 5.

BOARD OF AIRPORT COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZES LAWA TO ACCEPT SCAQMD FUNDS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS

SUPERIOR COURT GRANTS LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS PROTECTION FROM EL SEGUNDO LAWSUIT DISCOVERY
(Los Angeles, CA – January 27, 2000) A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has granted a temporary order protecting Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) from fulfilling the City of El Segundo’s demands to inspect documents, made in connection with a lawsuit filed by El Segundo, until questions concerning the propriety of the lawsuit are decided at a March 6 hearing.

CRIME AT LAX CONTINUES DECLINE; ADMINISTRATIVE OFFENSES TRIPLE
(Los Angeles, California – January 27, 2000) Law enforcement officials at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) report that crime dropped 5.5 percent last year – the third year in a row of declining crime. Crimes against persons and property dropped by 146 to 2,491 in 1999 from 2,637 in 1998.

· The ONT Recycling Program is a comprehensive airport-wide recycling program being implemented in three phases. Phase One is the implementation of a mixed paper recovery program. Phase Two is the implementation of terminal-specific and ONT maintenance yard programs. Phase Three is comprised of programs targeted towards aircraft and tenant offices.

NIGHT LANE CLOSURES IN LAX SEPULVEDA TUNNEL UNTIL MAY
WHAT: Construction crews will be working in the Sepulveda Tunnel at the intersection of the I-105 Freeway and Sepulveda Boulevard adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport. Two of the three lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions of the tunnel and the southbound upper and lower exits from the airport to Sepulveda Boulevard will be temporarily closed.
