MAYOR GARCETTI ANNOUNCES FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR OF RECORD-BREAKING TOURISM MORE THAN 45 MILLION PEOPLE FROM AROUND THE WORLD VISITED LOS ANGELES IN 2015
Los Angeles tourism surged to its fifth consecutive year of record-breaking growth in 2015, Mayor Eric Garcetti announced today. A total of 45.5 million tourists visited the city last year, according to the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board — an increase of 1.3 million over 2014. These latest numbers keep the city well on pace to reach Mayor Garcetti’s goal of 50 million annual visitors by 2020.

FLYAWAY® BUS SERVICE FARE INCREASE SET FOR THREE LOCATIONS
Riders using FlyAway® buses for travel to and from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) are reminded that one-way fares from downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley will increase to $9 on January 1, 2016.  The one-dollar fare increase applies only to the FlyAway ® service at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, the bus terminal in Van Nuys, and the recently established Metro Orange Line Bus Stop in the Lake Balboa area of the San Fernando Valley.

NONSTOP, $7 ONE-WAY FLYAWAY® BUS SERVICE BETWEEN LAX AND LONG BEACH TO START WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 30
Low-cost FlyAway ® bus service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the Long Beach Transit Gallery will begin Wednesday, December 30, 2015.  An introductory fare of $7 per passenger for the 22-mile, one-way ride will be charged for at least six months.  Two children age five and under may ride free with each paying adult.
